No. Long diagonals are allowed; only touching queens are forbidden.
What does X mean?
X is a note that marks a cell where a queen cannot go.

Which board size should beginners choose?
Start with 7x7 or 8x8. Move to 9x9 and above once forced moves and line locks feel natural.
Do Queens puzzles require guessing?
Good puzzles can be solved by elimination, but harder boards may require testing a candidate and rejecting contradictions.
What happens when a queen conflicts?
The board can highlight row, column, region, and touching conflicts so you can fix the exact placement.
