What makes a good Queens solve
Great Queens puzzles reward elimination over guessing. Scan for forced cells, locked rows, and regions that are running out of legal spaces.
Forced queen
If a row, column, or region has one legal cell left, that cell must be a queen.
Region line lock
If all legal cells in a region share one row or column, reserve that line for the region.
Neighbor exclusion
A queen removes the eight surrounding cells as options, including diagonal neighbors.
